My, oh my… there is just so much to be thankful for right now!
I am thankful for Jesse and Hannah and their sweet presence here on the farm, and for making the morning sweet potato planting a breeze.
I am thankful for my exuberant children and their never-ending ability to keep me on my toes.
I am thankful for the urge to clean and prepare our vacation suite (aka the barn) for some dear friends that will be spending a portion of their summer with us. (Now I need to go back to the creek and clean my hair again.)
I am thankful for my sensitive husband, and his love of dung beetles.
I am thankful for homemade marshmallows. And chocolate.
And, finally, I am thankful for the growing twilight, the evening chorus of woodland birds (when I can actually hear them over Ira’s not-so-musically-inclined ducks) and the thought of my little nest and a good night’s sleep.
