To begin, I’m thankful that my children are so strong and resilient as to bounce back from whatever illness brought them down last week. It’s a pleasure to have their company in the garden again.
That said, I’m thankful, after trying everything else on an extremely uncomfortable teething-in-the-night two year old, for Tylenol.
I’m thankful for good friends who come to help with onerous work, like mulching a big melon patch. It makes the job so much more interesting and enjoyable.
I’m thankful for the first ripe Early Girl tomato. Guess who took the first bite?
I’m thankful that around here, there’s no wondering about where the next meal comes from…
and that’s a lot to be thankful for.
