A few mornings this week, we awoke to the unusual brightness that creeps in the windows when the world outside is blanketed in snow. It is such a rare occurrence for us in this region nowadays, that when I awake to that particular light coming in the windows my first thought is that I have overslept, and that the morning is much further along than it should be… not that any snow fell. We certainly didn’t have much snow. I suppose maybe an inch at the most. Nothing like the several feet of snow that fell in some of the northeastern states. Nonetheless, it was still snow. It was still beautiful. The children were thrilled to finally be able to use the sleds Aunt Cassie got for them. Even though after just a few runs down the hill there were more leaves than snow, their excitement was not deterred. They just kept on sledding and laughing and have a grand time. That is such a beautiful phenomenon with children… they make the most of what they are given.
The snow didn’t last long, remaining only in the deepest shadows by midday. But it was lovely while it lasted…
Beautiful, I love snow. Photos are lovely, new camera??
