First of all, I am thankful for the lovely rain that watered in all of the seeds and transplants that we had just planted in the garden… winter squash, Indian corn, pumpkins, tomatoes, lettuce…

Secondly, I am thankful for that same rain because it allowed Eric and I to take a little break from the demands of the gardens. And since we have some fabulous and competent friends (which I am very thankful for) visiting us for several weeks, we passed the reigns of the farm (which included our three kiddos!!! oh my!) on over to them so that we could go on a bona-fide date! (double oh my!)

Thirdly, I am thankful for bowling, billiards, beer, and bliss. Eric and I seldom (which translates into never) do this sort of thing so it was a grand treat!

Lastly, I am thankful to be back home on the farm (I wouldn’t last long out there in the world of parking lots, I gotta have my trees.), to see the smiling faces of my grubby kids, and to have a snuggly nap with little Livi. Indeed, I am so thankful…IMG_3223IMG_3228IMG_3231IMG_3230IMG_3218IMG_3220IMG_3233IMG_3234IMG_3243
